Introducing intelligence to the water cycle

“Internet of Things” is an undisputed development of the internet. But how will it translate to water?

INTERNET of WATER can be twofold. It will obviously allow water treatment operations to run in a more efficient way and therefore reduce water waste, save energy and assure best possible water quality by enabling real-time monitoring and control at any given time. In addition, the internet will also be able to connect the consumer to all relevant water information.

The transparency of water treatment efforts and quality will increase, helping consumers to better understand the actual value of water.

Water today is by far the most undervalued resource on the planet.

It could empower consumers to influence their “water footprints” contributing to mitigate the water challenges of their communities. Big data and distributed intelligence on water applications are all real today and will affect businesses and societies alike.
