Plan International emergency teams are responding to the needs of children and families affected by the devastating earthquake that hit the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal on 25 April and again later on in May.

More than 8,000 people have died and thousands have been injured. The government has declared a state of emergency in the affected areas. Plan’s immediate priority is to support children’s core needs – including shelter, water, health care, and essential child protection mechanisms.
