Kemira’s Business Service Center located in Gdansk, Poland appeared in a ranking of top 10 best designed Polish offices. The ranking was done by Propertydesign.pl, a website dedicated to modern trends in architecture.

Kemira’s Business Service Center just celebrated its first anniversary of running business in Gdansk. Its role is to support Kemira’s business in four areas: procurement, customer service, finance & accounting and IT. The center moved to a new office space in February 2014.

“The design work for our Gdansk office was guided by the latest office design principles that support collaboration and environmental efficiency together with the Kemira brand. We wanted to create an open plan office supported by activity based spaces, including different spaces for working together and for concentrative work”, says Marjo Vänttinen, Kemira’s Brand manager.

“In our team working in this office we put great emphasis on an efficient information flow between employees. To ensure that, we designed an open space with many places for formal and informal interactions. We also built an extra staircase inside the office linking the two floors of the building we are currently using”, says Arkadiusz Rochowczyk, head of the Gdansk Business Service Center.

Also visually the office embodies the Kemira brand. “Sustainability was also considered in the selection of furniture, materials, Kemira brand elements and colors. Brand elements, like trendy bright colors yellow and turquoise, were integrated in small furniture and wall colors with a special attention to timeless and interesting design”, Marjo continues.
