Kemira hosts a Capital Markets Day in London tomorrow September 13, 2022

 

Kemira organizes a Capital Markets Day for investors and analysts tomorrow September 13, 2022 at 9 am – 12 pm UK time (11 am – 2 pm Finnish time). The event will be held at the London Stock Exchange and it can also be followed via a live webcast.

 

The aim of the Capital Markets Day is to provide an overview of how Kemira has progressed on its profitable growth strategy since the last CMD in 2020. Furthermore, you will hear an update on Kemira’s R&D activity, including the biobased strategy.

President and CEO Jari Rosendal:

 

“Since the last Capital Markets Day in 2020, we have taken several concrete steps in our profitable growth strategy. In 2020, we introduced a target to reach EUR 500 million in biobased revenue in 2030. Our biobased strategy has progressed and the biobased revenue surpassed EUR 200 million last year. Therefore, we are well on track to reach our target. This June we also established a separate Growth Accelerator unit to further speed up the commercialization of selected strategic initiatives. We are also exploring new interesting growth opportunities in adjacent markets, such as wood fiber-based textiles, which we expect to grow rapidly in the coming years.

 

Our financial targets remain intact, and we continue to aim for faster-than-market growth, operative EBITDA margin in the range of 15-18% and gearing below 75%. We continue to be focused on maintaining the margin within the financial target range, while increasing focus on growth. We see three ways to reach our target of faster-than-market growth: growth pockets inside our existing businesses, new growth opportunities, such as biobased products and textiles, as well as M&A, particularly in water treatment.

 

During the past two years, we have seen unprecedented changes in our operating environment. We have proved our agility in recent years by responding to changes quickly. To create value for shareholders, we will continue to navigate in a volatile environment in the short-term while at the same time pursuing our long-term growth ambitions.”
